Affleck pulls out of poker tournament

Ben Affleck has pulled out of a poker event which began on Monday because he was reportedly suffering from a severe migraine.

The actor was supposed to compete at the World Series of Poker 'Ante Up for Africa' tournament at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

According to the New York Post, the Good Will Hunting star cancelled his entry after becoming ill.

Affleck said: "This is the one poker event I go to each year, and I didn’t even get to play."

American Pie star Shannon Elizabeth came second in the contest.
