According to reports, the Babyshambles star cancelled a show in Nice after being admitted to an area hospital.
The reason for Doherty's hospitalisation has not been reported.
Concertgoers were told that the show would be rescheduled.
Last month, Doherty reportedly left a message on a hotel room wall written in his blood.
