Spelling: 'Crash affects whole family'

Tori Spelling has spoken of the effect that husband Dean McDermott's accident has had on her family.

The 37-year-old actress told People that the couple's children, Liam, 3, and 2-year-old Stella are having difficulty coping with their father's recovery from injuries sustained in a bike crash following his release from hospital last week.

She said: "It's hard because Liam's a daddy's boy, so he wants Dean to pick him up and we have to explain that daddy's sick, that he's hurt, so he can't get up."

Spelling also said that McDermott, who suffered a punctured lung in the accident, has taken up walking to help him recover from his injury, but often finds even this to be hard work.
