Simpson: 'I thought I'd figure it out by 30'

Jessica Simpson has admitted that she thought her life would be in a different direction by the time she reached the age of 30.

The singer, who celebrates the milestone birthday today, has revealed that she is a bit disappointed with how things have turned out.

Speaking to Us Weekly, she said: "I thought I had it figured out; I'm going to be this great popstar, be married, have babies."

A representative for Simpson recently dismissed the suggestion that the star is ready for a baby. Simpson is rumoured to be dating NFL star Eric Johnson.
