Kellan Lutz: 'Dog protects me from fans'

Kellan Lutz has revealed that his pet dog helps to protect him from over-enthusiastic fans.

The Twilight star admitted that the pet doesn't like females approaching him.

According to Bang Showbiz, he said: "I can run fast now! I also have a dog that doesn't like females. She's pretty protective!"

Lutz also revealed some of the unusual encounters that he has with fans: "I was naked [in a spa] and this guy walked by and said, 'You're Kellan Lutz! I'm a big fan'. I was sitting there butt-naked under the water and he just continued to talk for ten minutes."

He added: "Recently a fan brought handcuffs to a convention that I was at. I didn't really pay attention to what she said, but she actually said, 'Do you mind if I handcuff myself to you?' I was like, 'Yeah, do it!' Then I heard this clunk-click noise of metal - and she almost got to me. Luckily, security stepped in."

Lutz stars in the latest Twilight film Eclipse, which is out now.
