Enrique Iglesias has reportedly clarified his stance on marriage.

The singer - who is dating Anna Kournikova - was asked by Us Weekly about his past remark that he never wanted to marry.

"That makes me sound like I'm completely against marriage. I want to clarify it. I'm not against marriage, marriage is great if you want to get married," he replied.

"A lot of my friends are happily married. I don't think walking down the aisle and [having] a legal document can make a difference. That doesn't mean you love someone more or you respect them more - you can be with someone perfectly well without being married."

The 'I Like It' star went on to say that things are "good" between himself and Kournikova, and confirmed that the pair are not engaged.

Iglesias, 35, recently revealed that he is attracted to strong, independent women and that he likes a partner who "doesn't get in the way" of his passion for his job.
