Katie Holmes is planning to take Tom Cruise's name when the pair tie the knot.
The former Dawson's Creek star will do what neither of the actor's previous wives did - as Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman decided to keep their own surnames after marrying Tom.
Cruise has also advised that Holmes should change her first name to Kate.
A source told In Touch magazine, "Tom calls her Kate, so he suggested she start going by that professionally."
The couple are planning to marry later this year.
