Ashley 'doesn't care about Cheryl illness'

Ashley Cole has reportedly told friends that he no longer cares about his estranged wife Cheryl, despite her recent illness.

According to Heat, the Chelsea and England footballer suggested that he is not bothered by Cheryl's struggle with malaria.

A source told the magazine: "He got a text saying she was ill and his response was, 'It's nothing to do with me anymore'.

"He's made it very clear he doesn't care. He's through with feeling sad and guilty."

Cheryl is thought to have contracted the illness while on a holiday in Tanzania with dancer Derek Hough.

The Girls Aloud singer is said to be upset by Ashley's behaviour and the alleged lack of contact from her bandmates Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding since her infection was discovered.

"It's stressing her out, and it's the last thing she needs right now," the source added.
