Stephen Fry 'gets university honour'

Stephen Fry has received an honorary fellowship from Cardiff University.

The writer and actor accepted the award, given for his "international distinction", in a ceremony held on Tuesday, say reports.

He posted a photo of himself wearing robes for the event on his Twitter page.

"Time for Cardiff Uni ceremony," he wrote.

"The darlings are making me an hon (sic) fellow. Sweet Matthew Rhys & Michael Sheen have given me Welsh to say. Eek!"

It was recently announced that Fry would reunite with former comedy partner Hugh Laurie for a new special.
