Ashley Cole 'spends £8k in 12 hours'

Ashley Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips are thought to have spent around £8,000 during the course of one night out in Los Angeles.

The footballers were reportedly celebrating the World Cup final with EastEnders star Michael Greco and a number of glamour girls in the city's XIV.

A partygoer told The Sun: "You would think they had something to celebrate. They looked far too pleased with themselves.

"They dropped £8,000 in a few hours in XIV alone. That's about the amount England fans had struggled to save over the last four years to go to watch them in South Africa - and they spent it in a few hours without a second thought."

Cole's divorce from wife Cheryl has been put on hold as the singer is in hospital with malaria.
