Mark Wahlberg has admitted that the effects of his stardom still seem to much for him at times.
In particular he finds fans intimidating and is suspicious of their intentions when they pay him attention on the street.
Contactmusic.com quote him as saying: "When I first became well-known, I still had that mentality of when people were looking at me I thought they just wanted a fight, I was always on the defensive.
"I'm an approachable guy, but it can get a little weird sometimes."
