Super Furries and New Order for Peel gig

Details have been announced of the first John Peel day, to be held next month.

The day will feature a concert held on October 13 at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall which will be broadcast live on Radio 1.

Running from 6:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., the currently confirmed acts are:

  • New Order

  • Super Furry Animals

  • The Fall

  • Laura Cantrell

  • Misty In Roots

  • Venetian Snares

  • Jawbone

    • Also on October 13, venues staging gigs across the country will be invited to do so under the banner of Peel Day in celebration of his life, broadcasting career and the influence he had over the music world by giving many unknown bands their first break into the big time.
