Cliff denies record ban reports

Cliff Richard has insisted that he will make more records and denies rumours that he refuses to make music that no-one will listen to.

Yesterday The Daily Mail reported that the veteran singer would still play live concerts but would not record any new material on the basis that radio stations refuse to play it.

However, Waveguide.co.uk quotes his promotions manager Lisa Davies as saying: "There is no truth in the story that he won't be making or releasing any more records.

"Cliff was having a pop at radio stations that don't play him, but there are plenty that do support him. He was A-listed at Radio 2 for five weeks in May."

Proving the point, she added that Cliff was in a recording studio at the time the story was published, and that he is working on an upcoming album. He has recorded a duet with G4 entitled 'Miss You Nights', which is expected be released as his customary Christmas single.
