Paltrow hits back at Coldplay's critics
Gwyneth Paltrow has stated that she does not appreciate mean reviews of her husband Chris Martin's work.

Although Coldplay's latest album 'X&Y' has found favour with the public and most critics in Britain, the American music world has been less kind. Alongside the likes of Rolling Stone and Spin, the New York Times has been particularly damning, branding Coldplay "the most insufferable band of the decade. (Chris Martin's voice is the sound between a yodel and a hiccup."

Sympathetic wife Paltrow is quoted by Contactmusic.com as saying: "I thought, 'I wish this writer extreme misery and bodily harm.'

"If you're the partner of the person, it's a dagger to the heart."

Martin himself recently admitted that the band are devastated when their work is slated.
