Cyrus: 'Spears comparison a compliment'

Miley Cyrus has reportedly said that she thinks being compared to Britney Spears is a "compliment".

According to OK, the teenage singer told reporters at a recent Hannah Montana press junket that she is frequently likened to fellow popstar Spears.

"I try to look at everything in my life as positive," she explained.

"So I can either look at it and say it's negative, and look at the things she's done wrong, and say, 'How can someone compare me to her?', or I could be the positive person and look at all the amazing history that she's made, and the things that she's accomplished, and I'll take it as a compliment."

She added: "I choose to take it as a compliment."

Dolly Parton - who describes the star as her "honorary goddaughter" - recently said that she hates criticism of Cyrus and insisted that the singer is just trying to grow up, saying: "She's feeling herself through and she'll land in the right place."
