Ashton Kutcher has cancelled a test drive of a supercar at a Melbourne racetrack.

The actor, who is currently in Australia to promote his new film Killers, was turned away from the Calder Park Raceway on Thursday after heavy rainfall left the track unsuitable for driving, reports The Age.

"He was due to come out here this afternoon but all the rain has caused us to pull the pin," said track manager Ian MacArthur.

"His management staff made some tentative enquiries as to whether they could get out on the track. I think he just wanted to do some trackwork. But there's just too much water on it. They would have been aqua-planing."

Kutcher was recently involved in an accident while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in California.
