Snipes recently lost an appeal for a 2008 conviction for tax evasion.
According to The AP, his lawyers want to determine whether any of the jury members had assigned a guilty verdict to the Blade star before the trial.
According to the motion filed on Friday in the Florida federal court, a juror sent one of Snipes's attorneys an e-mail stating that three of the other jurors had presumed that the star was guilty.
The motion states that the act violates Snipes's constitutional right to a fair trial.
