Jones 'happy to have Hilton as neighbour'

Tom Jones has claimed that he is happy to have Paris Hilton as a neighbour.

The 70-year-old crooner told Absolute Radio that he welcomed the arrival of Hilton in his Los Angeles neighbourhood, despite concerns from other residents over her party-girl reputation.

"I thought it would be nice to have her," Jones said of the socialite. "She's young, she's pretty and she's a little controversial."

Other members of the community were reportedly worried that the socialite's lifestyle could prove a disruption, after Hilton and partner Doug Reinhardt were forced to move from her previous residence following a number of noise complaints.
