Mother 'scared about' Doherty

Pete Doherty's mother apparently turned up to one of his gigs to discuss his lifestyle.

Both mother Jacqui and sister Amy Jo paid Pete a visit before Babyshambles' date at Bristol Academy. Although staff were at first unsure as to who they were, Doherty's family eventually were granted access to the venue where they spoke with the band's frontman.

A witness told The Sun: "There was lots of hugging and kissing but Pete looked quite distant. Jacqui was telling him how much she loves him and how worried she is about his health.

"She said she is really scared about him at the moment. It was touching, she came across as a caring and loving mum."
