Bomb scare interrupts Stones gig

A Rolling Stones concert was stopped last night due to a bomb scare.
The veteran rockers were playing a gig at the University of Virginia when, eight songs through the set, Mick Jagger informed the crowd that authorities had asked the band to stop the gig whilst police officers searched the stage with the help of sniffer dogs.
According to Yahoo the first 20 rows of the venue were cleared in order for the search to be carried out, though apparently the police did not explain the reason for the interference to the crowd. The gig continued after half an hour's interruption.
