Gallagher brands Lennon "too right-on"

Liam Gallagher thinks that his idol John Lennon was "too right-on".
The Oasis star admires Lennon for his voice, but has compared him to Coldplay's Chris Martin for trying to save the world through his music.
"I love Lennon for his voice," Liam told Q magazine. "Not for what he said or stood for, because half of what he said is what these other d***s like Chris Martin are saying. Lennon’s a bit too right-on for me, to be honest.
"I don’t want to f***ing save the world. I want to live in my world. I do my bit. I’m not f***ing going round blowing people up, am I? I’m not trashing the gaff. That’s the side of Lennon I don’t get, but his records you can’t touch."
