Paris Hilton apologises to Nicole Richie

Paris Hilton has sent an apology letter to Nicole Richie in an attempt to put an end to their highly publicised feud.

The hotel heiress, who now apparently realises that she has been "petty", was persuaded by mutual friends to forgive her Simple Life co-star.

"Paris just wanted to call things a day after friends stepped in and told her she was being petty," a source told Femalefirst.co.uk.

The Simple Life was recently dropped by the Fox network, although NBC and The WB are rumoured to be interested in picking the show up.
