The 17 Again star was appearing on Lopez Tonight when he ate a platter of scorpions, crickets and super worms.
He told comedian George Lopez: "It's not that I search for weird things to eat, I'm not that guy. But if there is something strange and everybody's afraid to eat it, I'm usually the guy that'll go for it.
"I’m not afraid to try new things."
Taking a bite of toasted scorpion, the actor said: "This is not a big deal. In fact, I'm just gonna pop this guy right off."
