Singer and writer Victor Willis, who was the original policeman in the lineup for the Village People, was arrested four months ago after police found what was believed to be crack cocaine in his car, as well as a gun.
Willis now has three outstanding warrants from the San Mateo County Superior Court for his arrest - for possession of narcotics, for the court case itself, and also for violation of probation.
His attorney told the San Francisco Chronicle that Willis had told him he would be unable to make the hearing, and that he believed he was "scheduled for surgery."
