Kirsty Gallacher ties the knot in Spain

Kirsty Gallacher has got married to rugby player Paul Sampson in Spain.

The TV presenter, who has two children with Sampson, decided to hold the wedding on the continent because "a traditional white wedding at home" did not feel right.

The ceremony was held in the town of Arcos de la Frontera, where Gallacher's father Bernard owns a house.

Sampson, 33, told Hello: "Someone said to me that it feels no different after marriage. But the bond Kirsty and I have is definitely stronger now, which feels amazing after nine years. Slightly unexpected, but a wonderful feeling."

As a gift from the groom to the bride, the Gypsy Queens provided the music at the newlyweds' reception.

Gallacher said: "My mum and Paul's mum were still going strong at 4am and Paul and I called it a night at around 5.30am.

"But there were some guests who didn't make it to bed at all and were still there in their suits when we came down to breakfast."
