TV star and mother of three Ulrika Jonsson has confirmed that she is to separate from her husband of two years.

Ulrika (38) and Lance Gerrard-Wright (37) got married in 2003 with a flashy and public wedding.

They have an 18 month old daughter together, and Ulrika has two other kids. She said in a joint statement: “They are our first concern, Lance and I will do everything we can to ensure their happiness."

The couple have recently followed differing career paths, which they say has put a strain on their relationship.

"We tried our best to make our marriage work,??? the statement continued, “but we are now resigned to the fact that we should part."

Lance and Ulrika met in true celebrity style. Back in 2000 Ulrika hosted TV show Mr Right, in which women competed to win the heart of ‘Mr Right’ – one Lance Gerrard-Wright.

Though none of the contestants managed to hit it off with him, Lance fell for Ulrika, and proposed to her outside St Paul's Cathedral a year later.

Ulrika’s love life has been littered with celebrities ever since she became a weather-girl at the age of 19, including relationships with Gladiators star Hunter, footballer Stan Collymore and Sven Goran Eriksson.
