Last week, it was claimed that the star planned to get married to Roth in January at a rooftop ceremony in New York.
Geldof wrote on Twitter: "Just so everyone knows, Eli and I are not engaged or getting married. The tabloid stories stating this are all, as usual, made-up lies.
"Who makes this stuff up? A rooftop in New York in January? It would be f**king freezing."
Geldof's marriage to musician Max Drummy lasted seven months.
