Karen O, feisty lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has used a fan website to update us on the band’s progress.
They finished recording their new album, as yet unnamed, in August this year, she said.
Fans will already know two songs which will go on the album, called cheated hearts and honey bear – “all the rest are new,??? wrote O.
The band’s guitarist Nick Zinner is currently mixing the album with experienced producer Alan Moulder. It should be released in the first half of 2006.
O also suggested that the band will appear at next year’s All Tomorrow’s Parties – a British festival held at the Camber Sands holiday park.
