Ruth Lorenzo: 'Minogue like a sister'

Ruth Lorenzo has praised Dannii Minogue for looking out for her.

Minogue mentored the singer when she appeared on The X Factor and told Star magazine that they were like sisters.

"She’s so genuine and amazing," she said. "She’s been like a sister to me since I moved to the UK."

Lorenzo revealed that she has sung backing vocals on a track she wrote for Minogue.

"We have recorded one so far called 'Cos You’re Beautiful'. I sang the backing vocals," she said.

"I’m not sure if she will release it as a single because she’s still working on her album, but I’m writing for her on that, too."

The Spanish singer, currently working on her own debut album, believes that Minogue's new music will "shock".

She added: "She's going to shock everyone this year. That baby has come with good, positive energy for her. Kris [Smith] is adorable and she has all these amazing people around her who love her.

"It’s her time to shine.”

Scenes of the pair recording the track will be shown in the first episode of Dannii Minogue: Style Queen which begins at 9pm tomorrow on ITV2.
