Jessica Simpson's boyfriend using her?

Jessica Simpson's friends have reportedly revealed their concerns that her boyfriend Eric Johnson is only with her because of her fame.

Simpson and Yale graduate Johnson have been linked together since last month but the singer's friends are said to be worried that his feelings aren't genuine.

A friend of Simpson told the Chicago Sun-Times: "I don't care if he's so smart and all that, I get the sense he's more interested in people knowing he's dating Jessica Simpson rather than truly caring about Jess and her needs."

Another source insisted that Johnson is a "fame wh*re... the kind of guy who is really into dating famous women".

However, a friend of the ex-NFL player argued that Johnson's feelings for Simpson are real.

They said: "Bulls**t! That's totally ridiculous and wrong. He is a really good guy and he's as nuts about Jessica as she is about him."
