Mary-Kate Olsen: 'Helpful to have Ashley'

Mary-Kate Olsen has said that it is "helpful" to have twin sister Ashley to turn to for support and advice.

The 24-year-old, who found fame as a child star on Full House, opened up to Marie Claire about her relationship with her sister, reports Us Weekly.

"Sometimes Ash and I have to bring each other back, or push each other more. It's really helpful to have another half; we're constantly checking in with each other," she said.

The actress-turned-fashion designer also spoke about her early career, saying: "I look at old photos of me, and I don't feel connected to them at all. I would never wish my upbringing on anyone... but I wouldn't take it back for the world."

Olsen - who stars alongside Vanessa Hudgens in the upcoming Beastly - added that she still reads scripts and is open to continuing to act "if something great comes along" but that she is currently focused on fashion label The Row.
