Alexandra Burke 'offers mum her kidney'

Alexandra Burke has reportedly offered to give her mother Melissa Bell one of her kidneys because she is in need of a new one.

According to the Evening Standard, Burke's mum has refused to accept the offer because there is a possibility that the singer will not be able to have children if she donates it.

Bell explained: "I need a new kidney. Alex offered me hers and was very serious about it, but if you take a kidney from a woman who hasn't had babies, you take away her chance of a family.

"That's more than robbery, it's downright wicked."

Bell has also been offered a kidney by her son David and is waiting for tests to take place to see if he is a suitable donor. She is currently on the kidney transplant waiting list.
