The 26-year-old Australian supermodel, who currently lives with her boyfriend of six years Jake Wall, said that they plan to build their "dream home" together on the $1.8 million (£1 million) plot near Narrabeen.
Hawkins told the Herald Sun: "It's really exciting, we're flat-chat at the moment. We're building so [Jake] is getting all that ready. We start excavating in November."
She also revealed that although Wall would be dealing with the construction side of the project, she would handle the interior design, saying: "We've sort of got the same tastes, which is good, so it's just a matter of choosing different interiors."
The Myer ambassador added that Wall would be unable to attend the department store's upcoming spring/summer launch due to meetings with architects, but said that her sister and mother would step in to support her.
