The Hole singer has been living at the Mercer Hotel in Manhattan for over a year but wants to invest in a city home to help repair her poor credit rating, reports the New York Daily News.
"I want to live in the West Village. Only the West Village," she explained.
"[It's] four more months until my credit is repaired... I've spent so much money on the hotel, I could have bought a house... I had a beautiful house, a lot of stability, and I just want that stability back. I need to be a homeowner."
She added: "I've spent so much money on the hotel. I could have bought a house."
Love said that she hopes the stability of owning her own home will help to repair her relationship with estranged daughter Francis Bean.
