The 25-year-old High School Musical actress said that her mother has been giving her lessons on how to use pom-poms for her upcoming role in new television series Hellcats.
Tisdale told Showbiz Spy: "I was never a cheerleader but luckily my mum was, and she's been giving me some great tips. It's hard but I'm really enjoying it and it's a great way to keep fit. In fact I've never been so fit!"
She has previously said: "My mum is very confident and she was always a role model of mine. I never really looked up to celebrities when I was young.
"I definitely work hard at stuff. I never give up on things. If I'm going to do something, I'm going to go a hundred per cent into it - just like my mum."
