Toni, whose marriage was under threat when it was revealed earlier this year that footballer husband John had had an affair with model Vanessa Perroncel, is said to have comforted Clancy after recent reports claimed that fiancé Peter Crouch had slept with an escort in Madrid.
Clancy, who stormed out of her Surrey home yesterday after an angry confrontation with Crouch, met with Toni at the Oldencraig Equestrian Centre stables where they both keep horses, according to The Sun.
A source said: "They were grim-faced. Abbey was obviously not wearing her ring. At times Toni put her arm round her."
Clancy is believed to have supported Toni in the wake of the revelations surrounding her marriage, which Toni has since described as "stronger than ever".
An insider added: "The two women share a special bond as Abbey comforted Toni when JT's affair came out. If anyone knows the position she's in, it's Toni.
"Toni was able to give Abbey some sound advice. She told her to keep her chin up and not go to pieces. Toni's ongoing relationship with her husband is proof it's possible to move on."
Earlier, Clancy apparently banned Crouch from sleeping in their bed as she raged at the England striker.
A source said: "She was livid. She screamed at him to get out of her sight and banned him from their bedroom. She told him to sleep on the couch."
