Wayne Bridge, Perroncel's former partner and John's ex-teammate, stepped down from the England team in the wake of the allegations, while John was later stripped of the captaincy.
Asked if she and John had an affair, Perroncel told GMTV: "No, I think I made that clear. I denied that from the start but people didn't want to hear. I've never said, 'Oh yes, I've had an affair with John Terry', I said, 'No, he was my friend'."
Quizzed if John's wife Toni believed her, she replied: "Yes, I believe she did, yes."
Perroncel again denied claims she had been paid by John to deny the rumours, adding: "No, absolutely not. I didn't take a penny from him, I didn't take a penny from the press, I don't think I took a penny from anyone."
Asked if she felt guilty about the ramifications for the England team, Perroncel said: "I felt like it was getting out of hand, more than guilty. Because like I said, there was never any malicious intention in what I ever did."
When questioned if she could ever reunite with Bridge, Perroncel said: "It would be lovely, but you know, Wayne might not feel that way. Whether we get back together or not, you know, crazier things have happened."
Perroncel's interview with GMTV airs today from 6am to 9.25am on ITV.
