Lily Allen downplays Lady GaGa joke

Lily Allen has dismissed controversy over an offensive joke that she made about Lady GaGa.

The singer came under fire after insinuating that GaGa is a hermaphrodite to crowds during a performance at the Big Chill last weekend.

However, she insisted that she had no ill intentions when making the quip.

"Everyone knows I am Lady GaGa's biggest fan. So don't believe the bulls**t," she wrote on her Twitter page.

"I'm a little monster and no-one can take that away from me!"
