According to E! Online, the rapper was freed yesterday after serving 18 days of his 90-day sentence for violating his probation in relation to a 2002 reckless driving offence.
The musician - real name Earl Simmons - had surrendered to the authorities in Los Angeles to begin his sentence on July 26, and told MTV News at the time that it was "for the best".
"Me and my crew, we came to the conclusion that would be best. It was something that happened years ago, a driving infraction," he said. "I like LA, I like the fans, I like to come out here to work. I wanna get that over with. It's one of the first steps in regaining everything I lost."
