Nicole Smith's psychiatrist to testify

A psychiatrist who treated late model Anna Nicole Smith is to testify at her domestic partner Howard K. Stern's drug conspiracy trial on Friday.

Reuters reports that Dr Nathalie Maullin cared for Smith when she spent time in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for drug withdrawals during her pregnancy.

Maullin will likely be asked what her dealings with Stern were during the star's time in the hospital and if she considered the model to be a drug addict.

Stern is accused of illegally conspiring with two doctors to dispense controlled substances to Smith, who died of an accidental drug overdose in 2007.
