Jay-Z has collaborated with Nike to create five pairs of custom shoes for a charity auction.

The rapper, who performed at the opening night of Nike's World Basketball Festival on Thursday, created original Air Force 1 sneakers inspired by the event's five participating countries for the company's All Black Everything range, reports the Daily Star.

Only two pairs of each shoe were created, with one of each being listed on eBay to benefit Jay-Z's Shawn Carter Scholarship foundation.

"We're excited to bring together the international prestige of Jay-Z and the USA Team on stage at famed Radio City Music Hall to open the first World Basketball Festival. This will be a historic night," said vice president of Nike's Global Brand and Category Management Trevor Edwards in a statement.

"We're also honoured to collaborate with Jay-Z on limited edition Air Force 1's that celebrate the countries participating in this inaugural event."
