According to The Sun, the model is determined to work things out with the footballer after he was reported to have cheated on her while on a stag weekend in Madrid.
A source said: "Abbey is still devastated about what Peter did. She has been talking it over with her mum Karen. She is still angry and hurt but she feels much clearer about what she wants to do.
"She still loves him and thinks their relationship is worth saving. Once she'd made her mind up about that, she decided to fly home and work things out."
Clancy apparently told a cashier in her local supermarket: "We'll work it out. We are going to stay together. Don't worry, we'll get through this. It's all going to be fine."
An onlooker added: "The woman at the till said she hoped they stayed together because they seemed a lovely couple - and Abbey said not to worry. She was smiling and didn't look a troubled soul. I hope they patch things up."
