In an interview with the New York Post, the rap veteran and actor insisted that Fishburne isn’t to blame because once children come of age, parents cannot oversee all of their decisions.
The 41-year-old said: "Once your kids get to a certain age you can't control what they do. You can only hope that they do the right thing, do what you taught them, and sometimes they don't. I don't feel like he did a bad job or he didn't do his job [as a parent]. Kids just do what they do."
Fishburne's daughter Montana recently said that her father is "very upset" by her decision to star in an adult film.
Last month, Ice Cube was forced to push back the release of his new album after he missed a deadline.
