The mother of the late Jade Goody has been angered by the unlicensed use of the reality star's image in an advertising campaign.

Jackiey Budden has openly condemned Bodycare for featuring Goody, who died of cervical cancer in March 2009, on a poster designed to raise awareness of checks for life-threatening conditions with the slogan "She thought she was fine too... find out now."

"This is an outrage," Budden told the Sunday People, adding that she is considering taking legal action against the company, who promote mobile health checks across the UK.

She continued: "Using Jade's name in this way is disgusting. The fact that they didn't even ask us made me sick."

A spokesperson for Bodycare responded: "We promote the need for the early detection of serious and life-threatening conditions. The material is designed to help raise awareness. Jade was an advocate for the reduction of the screening age for cervical cancer."
