The Crocodile Dundee star, who has previously been investigated by the Australian Crime Commission because of offshore accounts, has now been told that the tax office considers him an Australian for tax purposes, meaning that he owes them payments on almost $39 million of undeclared income.
According to AAP, this is the first time that the tax office has got involved with Hogan's case and it is likely that they could demand as much as $15 million from the star.
Hogan has always maintained that he is not an Australian citizen as he has been living and paying taxes in the US for some time.
