Catherine Zeta-Jones has invested in a version of Monopoly based on her home town of Swansea.

Makers say the latest incarnation of the popular board game is proving popular. "Sales have been going crazy. It's phenomenal and we've sold more than 10,000 already,? said spokesman Graham Barnes, adding: ?We are expecting one in three Swansea homes to be playing Monopoly on Christmas Day."

The Welsh town was chosen as the subject of a new Monopoly because of Zeta-Jones? fame, as reported by Digital Spy in March.

Back then, game designer Mark Marriott said it was a decision between Jones and Charlotte Church. "Charlotte has not issued a record for several years,? he said, ?and her lifestyle seems to have gone in a certain direction.?

Spokesman Barnes confirmed that a Swansea version has been sent to Zeta-Jones and her husband Michael Douglas. He commented: "We are sure she will enjoy it."
