According to TMZ, Joe has petitioned to overturn a ruling by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge last November that struck down his request to fire the current executors, entertainment lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain.
Joe's attorney Brian Oxman asserts in the filings that his client was financially dependent on his son and therefore should have the right to approve or dismiss potential executors.
The lawyer for Michael's children, Margaret Lodise, has condemned Joe's filing as "procedural wrangling" and describes the popstar's father as "the ultimate dog in the manger".
