According to Yahoo, he said: "It's scary when people shout at you. It's almost an animalistic reaction. You feel like a little kid at school."
The Scott Pilgrim Vs The World star was speaking at the film's London premiere.
The film sees Scott fall in love with a girl and fight off her seven ex-boyfriends.
The actor added of his own romantic gesture: "I bought her a big jug of milk, she mentioned earlier she needed some milk so I ran over to the store and got it so she wouldn't have to get it."
