Kylie told to stay in Paris for Xmas

Kylie Minogue has been told by doctors that she will not be able to return home to Australia for Christmas.

The singer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, is currently staying with boyfriend Olivier Martinez in Paris. Despite having her heart set on spending the holidays with her family in Melbourne, the star has been told that she should not make the trip until mid-January.

"Kylie's last chemo session is on December 18, which doesn't leave much time before Christmas Day," a source explained. "She has to have a blood-cell count afterwards to check she is well enough to make the very long flight.

"She's distraught because it's going to be a very traumatic time for her rather than the happy family day she's planned."
