Madonna 'sued over fashion line'

A Los Angeles fashion company has sued Madonna over her 'Material Girl' fashion line.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, LA Triumph Inc accused Madonna of stealing the name, which it has branded clothing under since 1997.

The company seeks an acknowledgment of the "deception" created by Madonna's usage of the 'Material Girl' name, as well as all profits earned thus far from the singer's range.

Madonna first announced the line in June, saying that the clothing was inspired by her 13-year-old daughter's personal style.
